Wellington, Last Nig Sit. The Council met at 2.30.

On the motion to go into committee on the Legislative Council Amendment Bill, Sir Francis Bell explained the necessity, owing to the National Government's agreement of postponing the operation of an elective measure for the Council.

The Bill passed through the committee stage, was read a third time and passed. The Military Decorations and Distinctive Badges Bill was read a second time.

Christ's College Ordinance Amendment Bill was read a first time.

The Council adjourned at 4.15,
