DAIRY FACTORIES CLOSED.

Wellington, Nov 27. The dairy industry throughout ttffe country has been most prejudicially affected by tiie epidemic. In a number o» cases factories have had to qjose down altogether, owing to the whole staffs bavins; been stricken with the disease. Dnlelield factory, near Carterton, was closed for live days, representing a loci of milk valued at about £2OO a day. Cape Egmont factory, near New Plymouth, is still closed, the loss Tieing about £250 per day. Kaponga is also stiU closed, the loss being £350 per day.

The National 'Dairy 'Association has been advised of similar closing at various centres.

Thames, Nov- 27. The epidemic is well under control. There are few new cases. All the country districts and Maoris have Buffered severely, but the worst is now over.
