INFLUENZA; PRECAUTIONS. Received Nov. 26, 8.25 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 26.. Although the 'licftltii authorities pie hopeful of keeping influenza within the quarantine area, they are making most elaborate preparations in the event of their hopes being defeated. Public inoculation depots are opening jn the city to-morrow, a million dosea of vaccine bavin# -been manufactured from the patients aboard infected vessels. These are now in readiness, and the manufacture of special Board of Health pattern of masks has been pushed rapidly. Ten thousand will !be ready in a few days, Private Arms are also producing them largely. The public and local authorities have been strongly urged to give the utmost assistance in precautionary measures. There are loud complaints of the danger from the nearness of the quarantine station to the city, and insistent demands for its removal.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
