WOMEN MAY PROCEED TO BRITAIN.
By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent. ■Wellington, Last Night. The Government has been informed that all restrictions on the issue of passports and for the embarkation of women for the United Kingdom may be removed, but that the restrictions on outward journeys from Britain are still in force.
Mr. Russell states that there are 344 applications foi* permission to proceed to England. Pr iority will be given to wives of aoldbrs, then to women engaged to soldiers.

Wellington, Last Night. When the news of the armistice arrived Major-General Kir A. W. Robin cabled General Godtey, congratulating the New Zealand Forces on their success. General Goi'.ey replies: AJI ranks of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces heartily than'c you and the New Zealand military forces for the generous congratulations, and for all the help you and they have given throughout the war.
