A DOUBTFUL MESSAGE.
CONCERNING DESTRUCTION OF SHIPS.
Received Nov. 27, 1.30 a.m. Sydney, Nov. 28. The following extraordinary message distinctly says "battleships", but it is suggested that it refers to merchantmen, as there is no question of establishing the ownership of the former: Reuter's Vancouver correspondent reports that a London message states that the capt.ired German battleshipß will be sunk wien their ownership has been established, the Entente not desiring to risk controversies.—Reuter
