IN THE AIR.
PROPOSED CONFERENCE,
CROWN'S SOVEREIGNTY OVER THE AIR. SAFEGUARDING CIVILIAN RIGHTS.
Received Nov. 2G, 7.45 p.m. London, Nov. 25.
The Civil Aerial Transport Committee recommends the immediate summoning of an international conference to draft aerial regulations. The committee insists that legislation should assert the sovereigrty and jurisdiction of the Crown over the air superincumbent in all parts of the British dominions and territorial waters, also to safeguard civilian rights against falling Aeroplanes. There was a general disposition to leave the commercial exploitation of the air to private enterprise.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
