DRASTIC PRECAUTIONS STILL (1) Because only ONE in FIVE of the population of Mew Plymouth have yet been infected. (2) There are therefore FOUR in every FIVE still iiable to infection. , (3) The Medical Authorities advise that until the epidemic is stamped out of the country districts a serious recurrence in town is almost certain. THEREFORE We must do everything we can to help the Country Districts. To do this the town organisation must hold together as far as possible. The Public Health Committee report the epidemic as well in hand in New Plymouth. If you observe the following recommendations carefully, We Have Won; if not It is IMPERATIVE that: A.—All persons ailing or recovering should remain at home and absolutely avoid dose contact with others UNTIL SEVEN DAYS AFTER THE COUGHING OR SNEEZING HAS CEASED. B—lf you must come into town shop quickly and go home. C.-New Plymouth residents, well or ill, are requested not to visit the country districts because they may infect clean districts. D.—Country people are requested to refrain from coming to town except on urgent business. E.—The public are requested to do business by telephone as much as possible, particularly as between the country and 1 town* OPEN AIR: To avoid further infection the public are earnestly requested to avoid close rooms jn their own houses and to spend as much time as possible in the open air. Draughts are never harmful.
