A DESERVING CASE.
THE BRUCE FUND. Yesterday we received from Mrs. Reg. Davy, of Fitzroy, who had made a collection on behalf of the Bruce fund, the sum of £l3 3s Od. Besides this the sum of £l2 3s was received at our office, making the day's total £25 6s, which brings the fund to £122 6a 6d. We received a cheque for £2 from a Lowgarth settler, and another of £3 from a Tariki settler—a tribute to the country's generosity. ■ The target is £l5O, and we are anxious to have this in hand by the end of the present week. Will those who can help the very deserving case of a woman and four little children left absolutely destitute? Yesterday's contributions were:
