AN EMIiUGENCY MEETING. A short o' the above board was held o:i Wcdncbdt:;, morning. Present: Mcs.,rs 11. Eraser (chairman), ii. W. .McNeil, C. Andrews, J. Andrews, R, Alorgau, and A. E. sykos. The chairman reported that DrWalker had informed him that at the present time the UM'oC.s at the hospital were experiencing an extremely trying lime, conajquenlly they wen; getting knocked up- lie .'.uggested that arrangemenu .-liuuld i>e made to take them into the country by motor-car, so that they could get plenty of fresh air, thus assisting them to recuperate, lie (the chairman) stated that he had made arrangementi to czsvy out the suggestion.

On the motion of Mr. Sykcs, seconded by Mr. Morgan, the action ot the chairman was approved.

The action of the house committee in dealing with inlluenza eases was approved, and they wero given full power to act in all cases of emergency. The secretary reported having received the following telegram from the Hon. G, W Russell'. Minister of Public Health: —"It having been determined that all hotel bar?, chartered club bars, breweries, and wholesale wine and spirit premises are to close until further notice, it is your duty to arrange for supplies of alcohol being obtained in order that same may be available to the puhlio o"f your district on medical prescription. Pfoase take action accordingly, either through the board itself or in conjunction vi'ith the respective local authorities of your hospital district. This instruction applies only *° citu ""- horough and town districts, and operates within a radium of three miles of their rcspec five boundaries. The charge for the liquor, except in charitable or necessttoes cases, will be li;;ed at an amount to repay coot of purchase and distrihu- ! tion."
