THE PEACE CONFERENCE.
PRESIDENT WILSON'S PROPOSALS. Washington, Nov. 19. An official statement regarding President Wilson attending the Peace Conference states that the President expects to participate in the discussion and settlement of the main features of t)he treaty of peace. It is considered unlikely at present that lip will remain throughout the sessions, but his presence will he necessary at the outset to obviate the manifest disadvantages of discussion bv cable regarding the greater outlines of the final treaty, upon w!Meh he. must necessarily be consulted.
