THE REICHSTAG DISSOLVED. PENDING CONVOCATION OP v ASSEMBLY. Received Nov. 19, 10.30 p.m. Washington, Nov. 18. Diplomatic advices state that Chancellor Ebert has virtually dissolved the Reichstag, and will permit no sittings pending tie convocation of a Constituent Assembly.—Reuter.
FUTURE OF NORTH SCHLESWIC. REFERENDUM TO BE TAKEN. AS TO REJOINING DENMARK. Received Nov. 19, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen, Nov. 13. The Voters' Association in North Sdh'leawig decided to take a referendum aa to whether it should remain German or rejoin Denmark. Dr. Solf intimated his aa-:pnt to the referendum, and added that Denmark had baen asked if she was willing to take over the territory.—Axis. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
WAR MATERIAL AUCTIONED. RIFLES AT A FRANC EACH. NO BID FOR ZEPPELIN. Received Nov. 19, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Nov. IS. The Soviet at Strasburg auctioned war material. Bidding was dead slow. Rifles brought a franc, machine-guns five francs, aeroplanes 125 francs. A Zeppelin was offered for 300 francs, but there were no 'buyers.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
DEMAND BY SOLDIERS. FOR CONVOCATION OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. LUXEMBURG REJECTS REPUBLIC. Received Nov. 19, 8.30 p.m. Copenhagen, Nov. IS. A meeting at Berlin, representing the Ist Army Corps and a hundred other regiments, demanded the immediate convocation of a National Assembly.
The Luxemburg Chamber carried a. resolution demanding a referendum to be taken regarding the future form of tlh© State. A Socialist and Liberal motion demanding a republic was rejected.— Reuter. THE EX-KAISER. Copenhagen, Nov. 18. The Lokal Anzieger states t)hat the ex-Kaiser is likely to return to Germany owing to disturbances in Holland. -—Renter.
