The death from double pneumonia, fol■lowing influenza, occurred at Palmeratoi North on Friday night of Mr. Thomai Davis, a returned soldier, son of Captaii T. J. Davis, adjutant of the sth Begi ment, and Mrs. Davis, of Nairn Street Wellington.

The Rev. J. M'Caw, Presbyterian min ister at the Lower Hutt, has suffered i double bereavement from influenza.
