That hydra-headed monster* Foul autqcracy is slain, And never in this world of our» Shall raise its head again. We've had our days of darknest When the dark clouds hovered o'et t ' We've suffered pain and sorrow; Fro.ni a devastating war. The flower of._a.ll our manhood, NoWy answering the call, Have fought and died for Freedom, Putting duty over all. 0, ye mothers of the Empire, Ye mjthers of that breed That's always helped to right the wro. , Whate'er the cause or need; To you we pay all homage, Now, to you we bow the head. In honor of the sons yon bore, Both the living and the dead.
