WESTERN FRONT.
TRAIL OF THE HUN. EXCESSES AT MAUBEUGE. London, Nov. 11. Mr- Robinson writes: Maubeuge strikingly adds to the general testimony of tli9 Germans' rapacity, arrogance and grossest bestiality. General Holtman and three members of his staff occupied a city offieia's house. They got drunk every night and emptied seven ihundred bottles of stolen wine in five weeks.
Other officers were similarly guilty. During bouts they committed indiscribable acts of defilement.
Maubeuge was fined nine million francs, besides an enormous total of individual fines. Many hostages were departed, to Russia, where they died from starvation.—The Times Service.
