Wilhelm Escapes During a Battle Hostile Demonstration by Belgians. Received Nov. 13. 10.15 p.m, London, Xov. 12. She Times' Hague correspondent -States it is reported that tlie internment of tlie ei'-Kaiser has been arranged at Veluwe, a barren island in tlie sandy tract of Golderland.
Tho revolutionary soldiars on the frontier say they had itrict orders to prevent the Hohcnzollerns escaping, Royal troops from Cloves fought a tattle, bofh sides iwing artillery, whilst the Kaiser escaped, a"*er which 300 German officers sought to cross the border, but the Dutch refused ingress unless fliey were disarmed. After liis long journey from tha Fatherland the Kaiser looked very downhearted, his hair being almost white. He kept looking wistfully back to the frontier.
Crowds speedily ewarmed the customs offices, where a party awaited the arrival of the Imperial train. Gendarmes and Dutch guards kept back the swarming multitude, including a number of Belgian refugees, who were mad with excitement and screaming: "A bas Guillaume 1' assassin!"" ("Down with William the assassin!").
The police, with, difficulty, restrained them till the German train containing the military and the Kaiser's body servants appeared.—Times Service,
THE MRST NIGHT OF EXILE. Received Nov. 13, 10.5 p.m. London, Nov. 12. Amsterdam messages state that the actual abdication took place on November 9, in a small villa at Spa, in the presence of Dr. Solf, Herr Delbruck, Marshal Hrndenburg, the Crown Prima and others.
The Ksujm lost no opportunity of haranguing those present before signing. The episode, which ended the Hohenzollern rule, began at midnight and lasted forty-five minntes. The ex-Kaiser reached Maestricht with a party totalling forty-one The "Kaiser, wearing the uniform of a Prussian general, with a sword, spent the first night of his exile in the train at a little station named Eysden. The Crown Prince had arranged io accompany the Kaiser, but missed the train, and his fate is still uncertain. It is reported that his shooting is still unconfirmed.
Some say the Kaiserin accompanied her husband, to Holland, while others state that she is still in bed in Berlin. The whereabouts of the Kaiser's younger sons are unknown beyond that they also took refuge in Holland. The fate of the other royalties may thus be summed up: The Grand .Duke of Oldenburg is dethroned and a republic proclaimed. In Hes3e the Grand Dnke has been arrested. The Grand Duke of Mecklenburg abdicated as King of Wurtemburg. The King of Saxony fled. The Grand Duke of Saxe Weimar abdicated and fled. Deputations from the Soldiers' and Workmen's Council came to the Duke of Brunswick's castle on Friday and handed the Duke the document renouncing the throne, and this the Duke signed in a few minutes. The Workmen and Soldiers' Council seized the whole of the North Sea Fleet at Heligoland. Polish volunteers are impeding the progress of German troops in Poland.
