PATRIOTIC CELEBRATIONS.
To the Editor. Sir,—l am glad to note in Monday's paper that tradesmen are asked to participate with decorated vehicles in the next patriotic procession. In the processus in connect ion with Austria's dov.-!if:.|l ' (. m ,i,i „„!,- „, )tu 0 „ c fim wllo madoia vehicular di«pl a . v , yet it was not even mentioned in the paper reports. In striking contrast, too, to the' patriotism of this one firm were the efforts of drivers of carts belonging to rival firms, in the same line of business, to press turotigh the crowds to deliver their goods. 1 hope that all business (of whatever description) will bo vigorously closed, and the employees freed for rejoicing when the great good news we so eagerly anticipate is announced.—l am, etc..
