SPECULATION AS TO GERMAN FUTURE.

AU the newspapers re-publish long 'biographoieal sketches of the Kaiser and the hopes of the HohcnV/ollersns- J.he general tone of the editorials is tWfi punishment of the Kaiser for the sufferings he has inflicted on humanity must be imposed. One newspaper reproduces, under the caption "Lest We Forget," German pictures of Bismarck inflicting humilialing terms on France, while others describe the abdication as an act of cowardice at the eleventh hour, and point ous that, while the, Hohenzolleni- isjtf large the peaco of the world cannot he assured. There is speculation as to whether Germany's drift towards Bolshevism can be prevented, and whether the new Government will he a republic—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc. <•
LONDON JUBILANT.; :; PATRIOTIC OUTBURSTS. Received Nov. 11,11.60 p.m. London, Nov. 10. London is in high spirits over the announcement of the abdication of the Kaiser. Buoyant crowds thronged the streets until late at night, there being tremendous cheering and patriotic outbursts at the.theatres and cinemas when the news was announced from the stage General Townshend has arrived in London.
