TRIBUTE BY M. CLEMENCEAU. ■neouai TO THE WORK OF BRITAIN. Paris, Nov. 6. M. Ckmenceau announced in the Chamber the Austrian terms amid enthusiastic scenes. Referring to the terms of an armistice with Germany, he said: "We must show the world we merit the peace we are obtaining and which no individual ally could have won." He paid a special homage to Great Britain, and, amid the greatest cheering, said: "We have made allies of our ancient enemies, the English. We now love them well, especially after seeing the prodigies they have accomplished on the battlefield. The war may last a bit longer, but we have already won."— Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
