CAPTURE OF ALEPPO, THE OPERATIONS DESCRIBEE. L STORES AND SUPPLIES FIRED. 'ARABS GWE VALUABLE HELP. BRITISH CORDIALLY WELCOMED. Received Nov. 7, 8.30 p.m. Cairo, Nov. 6. Writing from Aleppo, Reuter's cor- ; responding states that British troops have been in that town since Saturday. Progress across the plain thither had been more in the nature of a military parade than serious warfare, the demor alisatioa of the Turks enabling them to wrest the last Syrian vilayet of their dominion at a cost of exceedingly light casualties. The Turks occupied a position a few miles south-west of Aleppo, but after shelling ana feint work, covering throe days, they were driven from their advanced positions and began evacuating the town, firing the stores and supply dprops. On the evening of October 23, Arab villagers, assisted by the Anevsah tribesmen, attacked the enemy on the flnak, find penetrated to Aleppo, after bitter fighting, killing 300 Turks.
