THE PIERROTS' CAMPAIGN.
ARRANGEMENT FOR PROGRAMME. A general meeting of the New Plymouth Pierrots was held at the Soldiers' Club on Friday evening, to make further arrangements in connection with their effort to raise money for the patriotic committees,, the main day being on December 5. Mr. C. Fail-brother reported that the canvass of the country districts was proceeding vory satisfactorily. The envelope raffle in connection with tie "tank" was discussed, and the arrangements were left to Messrs. F. Duckworth, A. K. Smart, and J. H. Fowler. It was decided to purchase the material for an illusion known as "The Bodiless Woman". It was decided that Messrs. L. A. Nolan, E. Whittle, .T. Bennett and E. P. Webster, members of the Taranaki Jockey Club, should bo approached and asked to take charge of a "Cooncan Handicap." Other arrangements in this connection weee left in the hands of Messrs. F. llonan and F. Robertson. Various sections of tho work were detailed as follows: Bran-tub, refreshments and afternoon tea, ladies' committee; peanut stall, Mr. It. Paul; shooting gallery, Messrs. N. A. Christensen and 11. Temporo; sliding-barrel, cutting the ham, and tin plates, Messrs. L. B. Webster and L. A. Hoffmann; raffles, Mr. J. McLecd, assisted by Messrs. P. J. Flanagan, JI. Moon, B. Whitcombe, It. 11. George, J. ClaTke, R. Parkin, J. Abbott, T. Thompson, J. Sumner, J. C. Morey, and A. Avery; chain-stepping, Mr. J. R. Hill; sideshows, Messrs. C. Sadler, R. Bennocli and A. W. Jenkins; Scotch dancing, Mr. R. Mcttae; cheap-jack stall, Messrs. J. Hoskin and W. Jenkinson; blindfold boxing and balloon stall, Messrs. .T. Kenny, J. Brash and H. Urquhart; distribution of parcels, Messrs. L. S. Clark and J. Ramson; "Wild West Show," Mr. B. Vinsen; singing Pierrots, Mr. Morgan; Maori war dance, Mr. W. Jeakinson.
It was decided that another meeting should be held next Friday.
