COUNTY OP TARANAKI. pUBLICWTOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the County of Taranaki intends to raise a Special Loan of £8550 for the construction of reinforced concrete bridges in the Moa Riding; also payment of first year's interest and sinking fund on loan and cost of raising same, as under: Margaoraka, Lepper Road, '£536; Park Whare, Mountain Road, | £340; Waiongona-iti, Hursthouse Road, £612; Manganaia, Htirsthouso Road, "£696; Ngatoro, Junction Road, £1384; Maketawa, Junction Rd., £3832. It is proposed to'"pledge as security for the payment of interest and principal on the loan a special rate of threesixteenths of a penny in the pound, calculated on the capital value of all rateable property within the Moa Riding of the County of Taranaki, Buch rate to be an annual recurring rate until the loan is fully paid off. It is intended to pay out of the loan £3O coats of raising same and first year's interest, amounting to £520.

'JTHE Council of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow by way of Special Loan the sum of £IO,OOO. The particular purpose for which the loan is required is: TO form Streets and Footways, and generally to improve the streets and footways, in the Borough.
Tho sum to be borrowed for such purposes is £IO,OOO, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum with a sinking fund of one and a half per centum additional. The proposed security for the said loan of £IO,OOO and the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually recurring special rate of Twopence in the £ on tl*e annual value of all rateable property in the said Borough, and it is proposed to repay the said loan on the Ist day of October 1925. Council of the Borough of New, Plymouth hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow by way .-of special loan the sum of £40,000. The particular purposes for which the loan is required are: TO provide additions and extensions to the Electric Lighting and Power Works either within or without tho Borough and to supply electricity, to acquire or provide in connection with such additions and extensions lands, easements and appurtenances and buildings, tunnels, weirE, reservoirs, engines, machinery and other things, to pay compensation to any person injuriously affected and any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above purposes.
The sum proposed to be borrowed for all such purposes is £40,000 at a rate of interest*not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum with a sinking fund of one per cent, additional. The proposed security for the said loan of £40,000 and the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually recurring special rate of GJd in the £, on the annual value of all rateable property in the said Borough, and it is proposed to pay the said loan on the Ist day of APRIL 1033. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the First year. A Poll of the ratepayers will be taken on the above proposal on WEDNESDAY the 27th day of NOVEMBER 191 S. , DATED the 20th day of OCTOBER. 1918. C. H.
