The Governor and Lady Liverpool arrived at noon. The ring competitions for saddle horses were well filled. Some exciting ontests resulted. HassaU's Micky Free won the heavyweight hacks; Short's Scout the 12 to 14-stone hacks; Hassall's Captain Glossop the lightweights, beating Booth's Lonely. Scout beat Micky Free in the heavyweight hunter class. Hassall's Captain Glossop won the ladies' haek, ; beating Lonely. Lonely was the best shown troop horse.
