SANGUfNARY FIGHTING. • BETWEEN SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS. IUSING IN CROATIA. Amsterdam, Oct. 30. The Budapest corrsepondent of the Vossiche Zeitung says that the Magyar National Council decided to send a deputation to Ofen Castle to ask the Archduke Joseph to secure for Count Karolyi tilie premiership. A great crowd followed the deputation and attempted to break the military guard. Heavy fig Siting commenced, the soldiers ,using machine-guns and bayonets. A great number were killed. The fighting was | still raging at 9 o'clock on Monday evening. A general Labor revolt is expected at any moment. The rising in Croatia continues toincrease, and there is much fighting between the Croats and the Hungarians. The Croats are occupying all the railway stations.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Association. London, 'Oct. 30. . The Zurich correspondent of the Daily News states that the ferment continues at Budapest. Great demonstrations are organised hourly, and there are violent combats between the population, the soldiers, and rival bodies of students. The Emperor Karl has hurriedly left for Vienna. The climax of the drama may- be expected on Wednesday—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Berne, Oct. 30. The Emperor Karl and the Grand Dukes are desperately resisting the formation of a. coalition Ministry to include the leaders of the Magyar National Council. Meanwhile there are sanguinary conflicts in the Budapest streets, and the situation is bordering on a revolution. Machine-guns are freely used, and a dictatorship is openly advocated. The extremist Socialists are gaining much .support, though Count Karolyi is making a great effort to control the national movement with the Radicals.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ■ <i BOHEMIA A REPUBLIC. .THE CZECHO-SLOVAKS' COUP D'ETAT London, Oct. 30. Tho Czccliio-Slovaks have effected a bloodless coup d'etat at Prague. They declared a Republic, seized all authority and destroyed the Imperial symbols. The commanders and staffs of the garrisons joined the new Government. . ■ —
