CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE CONFERENCE. Wellington, Lsst Night. The chambers of commerce conference elected the following officers: President, W. Gbw (Dunedin); vice-president, Jas! McLellan (Wellington); executive, Robert Burns (Auckland), R. L. Paterson (Napier), J. B. Waters (Dmiedm), C. II Hewlett (Canterbury). POST,AND TELEGRAPH WAGES. Wellington, Last Night. The, Post and Telegraph.Conference is still in session. Most of the time lias bean given to "a consideration of the causes of di&tisfaetion in the service. The following resolution was passed: "This conference is of opinion that all men receiving less than £4 weekly are not getting a living wage, and considers the time has arrived when' a basis living wage should be established by Parliament, which shall be the minimum for male workers who have completed their training. Thereafter increases should be made in accordance with the worker's skill or workmanship, whicli Will adequately fix his higher value. Further, there should be no limit to the wage cf any worker, provided he gives adffljuate return."
