ON THE SEA.
SUNK IN; MID-ATLANTIC. Received Oct 31, 5.55 pa. Kew York, Oct. 30. The freighter Stifinder was en route from New Jbrk for Fremantle. She was •topped in mid-Atlantic. The U-boat's erew sank the vessel with bombs, and the erew escaped in boats. One boatload is missing. The remainder were picked up "by aa Americsn patroL—Aus. 112. GUde Aaaoe.
