Tlie soldiers' paper published ill FoaUiorstoii C'amp comments severely on the lodgings which some men have to take-wlicn staving in Wellington. Jn the current issue, the Camp Weekly ssivs: "There are several places in Wellington which pose as acconimodu-lion-honses for soldiers, although they •are totally linsnited and mismanaged. Men on leave, should show care in choosing a lodging-house, for although seemingly respectable, overcrowding and nncleanliness make some of them unhealthy and undesirable as sleepingplaces. . . , Overcrowding is n very visible fault among these •make-lmv-w'iiile-the-sun-shine.s' lodging - housekeepers. We all know that many of Wellington's business people have become extremists at profiteering during the time the camps have been here, and that the law of a fair deal is unknown amongst many of them. This board-ing-house question is another evidence of the desire to make the most they can while there is the opportunity." The Camp Weekly adds that a copy of the paper is being sent to some of the offenders, and further instances of undue overcrowding or of efforts to fleece the men in regard to boarding-houses will be published in the form of a black list. Crepes will be largely worn this summer. Ladies should come and sec t'he choice selection of beautiful Japanese crepes displayed at Morey's. See advertisenijgnt. elae\vliei"o in this if
