FATALITY AT OIL WORKS.

MAN DIES FROM INJURIES. An accident which, unfortunately, had fatal results, occurred at the Taranaki Oil Wells at about 3.30 yesterday afternoon. While engaged using a pair of chain tongs, in the course of repairing the No. 5 well, Frank Salmons Drmy received injuries through a pin breaking and the tongs striking him ou the head, rendering him unconscious. Dr. Wade was summoned immediately, and ordered the man's removal to the hospital, where he died shortly after admission, without regaining consciousness. Deceased was a married man, aged 32, living at Barrett Road West, and leaves a widow and three children. He had been connected with the oil industry for many years.
