The final stages of the I.W.W. inquiry have been entered upon. Mr. Windeyer, representing Mutch, Brookfield and Judd, opened his address by tabling allegations against the police, and submitting that some of the charges wore proved, and that others had not been sheeted right home. He contended that the evidence, in the light of the facts since established, was insufficient to warrant holding the men in gaol without further trial. DROUGHT AFFECTS HARVEST. Sydney, Oct. 23.
