AT PRESENT RESTING. HEAVY CASUALTIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Wellington, Last Night. _ Sir James Allen has received information that the New Zealand division is at present resting. The total casualties during the period from August 23 to October 21 were 6900. The Minister said lie regretted exceedingly the heavy casualties, but shared the pride tlhat ail the New Zealand people would feel at the splendid record of the division. The New Zealanders had stayed in the line during the great Allied attack for two months, and during that time had never lacked adequate reinforcements. Their deed's had been made possible by the support they received from this country.
