DENMARK.
THE SELF-DETERMINATION DOCTRINE. plebiscite of schleswig . DEMANDED. Received Oct. 21, 7.30 p.m. Amsterdam, Oct. 21. It appears that Denmark has sent a note to Germany, proposing that article 5 of the treaty of 1864, providing for a plebiscite in Schleswig, to ascertain whether the inhabitants prefer allegiance to Germany or Denmark, should now be taken.—Renter.
