INFLUENZA DYING OUT. Capetown, Oct. 20. The influenza epidemic is slowly dying out, though there are still many serious cases. Reports from the country indicate that <jlie epidemic is following the same course as in Capetown. At first the outbreak is mild, then it soon takes on virulent pneumonic features. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. THE STRIKE AT JOHANNESBURG. Capetown, Oct. 19. A Johannesburg message states that a big strike of engineers is threatened to support the iron-moulders, who lire still out.
