PIERROTS' BALL.
m The public are looking forward to the above with a considerable amount of interest. The ball committee have been working very hard and now have all the arrangements well in hand for a record success on Thursday night. One of the finest features of the function will b« the music, which is being very generously supplied free of charge by the Citizens' Band, assisted by a special orchestra under Mrs A. George. The committee have already made a start wit!) the decorations, and it is intended that this will also be a grand feature of the ball, as special arrangements are bcirijr mads with the lighting of the large Coronation Hall. The Grand March will be a very prctt.y sight, especially when '.til the ladies in fancy dress ».r* lined up in their" national or Allied dresses. Mrs. T. B. Jcfcoate will act as judge. Ladies in fancy dress are particularly requested to carry the flag of the country or Donrnion they sre representing, ar.d this will also add to the spectacular effects of tlie evening. Mrs- Burgess and her Patriotic Ladies' Committee ar* working very hard Witfc the slipper arrangements, and they intend leaving no stcne unturned towards making thin portion of the affair as successful as any of their ■previous efforts. •Mrs. Burgess will be pleased to rtc.vpt donations of cakes or pa?trv towards the supper, and all Pierrots are respectfully asked not to forget her in this respect.
