The Second British Army, under General Plumer, is co-operating with lite Franco-Belgians. The left hank of the Lys is now cleared of the enemy as 'far as die north-east of Harlebeke, To-day we crossed the Lys between Armentieres and Menin.

In the towns and villages captured by the Second Army, many civilians were freed and over four thousand of the efteiriy taken prisoners, upwards of 150 guns being captured.
