FOREST FIRES IN AMERICA.
21 TOWNS WIPED OUT, Received Oct. 15, 2-15 p.m. London, Oct. 14. Twenty-one towns were wiped out by forest fires in Minnesota. The deathroll is 298, while 100 were injured. Immense property was lost. New York, Oct. 13. Duluth reports that forest fires wiped out Colquet and other towns. Hundreds are befieved to be dead.—Aus. X.Z. Cable Assoc. New York, Oct. 15. Owing to the forest fires, 2000 refugees have arrived at Duluth. More than 100 bodies have been recovered, Several towns were wiped out- Men, women, and children died in the (lames within a short distance jpf tlia special rescue trains as the fire swept forward in a stronj; vr'nd.
