NEW PLYMOUTH MEN FARE. WELLED.

The local quota of the 47th Reinforce, ments, whose departure was postponed from Wednesday, in order that they might exercise their franchise in the byelection, left for camp yesterday morning. They were entertained at the rooms of the Women's Patriotic Committee and presented with hold-alls and cigarettes. The Mayor (Mr. 0. H. Burgess) addressed a few appropriate words to the men before they proceeded "to the railway, station, where a large crowd had assembled. The Citizens' Band was also in attendance, and enlivened the proceedings by playing a number of patriotic selections. The men leaving were:—R. A. S- Browne, J- W. Bruce, C. Condie, H. N. EUerm, E. H.
