SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.
JUST CLAIMS RECOGNISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 3The National Executive of the Second Division League recently had a number of cases brought before it from different parts of New Zealnd, in which wives of soldiers on active service were compelled to relinquish the tenancy of their homes on account of the landlords either selling them over their heads or demanding possession of the properties for the use of their families.
To-day, following the representation by the league a letter was received by the league from the Minister of Justice, stating that he had received a memorandum from the Defence Minister that the whole matter had been considered fcy the Attorney-General, who propsed to have a clause to meet such cases inserted in amending war legislation this session.
