Teerc was a large meeting of settlers and others at Otorohanga yesterday, when the questions of the rabbit menace and seedy wool were discussed. -Mr. W. f Jennings, M.P., presided, Messrs Young and Bollard. M.'P., being present. It was decided to ask for amendments of tiie Eabbit Nuisance Act in the direction of making it applicable to local conditions in the Waikato and King Country. ¥ In regard to seedy wool, it was shown that seme growers received only »«■] per pound, and they were not getting fat on that price. It was decided to form a committee to go into the proposals submitted by Mr. Jennings, which meant the erection of a carbonising plant for treating seedy 'wool. ' i
