At our Okaiawa sale on Monday last there was an average yarding of stock, and prices were on a par with late sales. Forward cows (sold to £ll 10s, store cows £C lis to £8 17s fid, jrearlings £1 ids to ft!, springing heifers £lO 5a to i£l2 I'Os, dairy cows £8 to £l6 103.
At Inglewood yard 3 on Monday we held a special horse sale. The advertised number came forward, and prices were on a par with our Hawera fair. Medium draughts 15 to £2l 10a, light harness horses £5 to £l2 10s hacks £3 to £lO. At Eltham yards on Wednesday there was a good yarding of cattle, and quotations are the same as late sales. Fresh conditioned cows £ll to '£l2 10s, forward cow 3 £9 10s to £lO 10s, store cows £0 10s to £9, empty heifers £5 10s to £6 los, old cows £2 10s to £5, yearling steers £3 to £4 13s, yearling heifers £2 10s to £5 ss, dairy cows '£lo to '£l6 10s, springing heifers £9 to r £]2 10s, pigs 25s to 335, Btore pigs £2 10s. • At Hawera yards on Thursday there was a good yarding of sheep arid cattle, and prices were the same as late sales. We quote: Fat sheep 40s. forward ewes 28s lid, hoggets 23s 5d to 31s lid, fat cows £l2 los fo £l4 l'2s 6d, fresh conditioned cows £lO 10s to £l2, forward cows £9 10s to £lO. store cows £0 12s Gd to £9, advertised empty heifers on account of Mr W. A- Duckworth '£7 2s Od to £7 13a, yearling heifers £3 to '"£s ss, •yearling steers £2 10s to ''£6 Is, dairy cows £9 10s to '£24, springing heifers £9 to £l4. 'At bur Waverlcy sale on Friday there was an average yarding of stock, which sold at late rate 3.
