THE GERMAN REPORT. REVERSES ADMITTED. London, Sept 20. Wireless German official, 7.15 p.m.):— The Anglo-Belgians attacked from southward of Dixmude as far as Wulverghem. They captured our crater positions, and in places advanced into the artillery lines. We held Wytschaate heights against repeated attacks. We withdrew westward of Cambrai owing to the loss of the canal positions astride Marquion. We withdrew behind the Oise-Aisne canfijl, between Anizy and Le Chateau Bourg. The French captured Somme Py. We withdrew in the Argonne as far as the region south-east of Binarville. South-west of Apcrmont tin Americans pressed us back as far as Cunel Wtiod and Fays.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter.
