AMERICAN WARSHIP STRIKES A MINE. London, Sept. 30. The battleship Minnesota struck a mine off the American coast, but returned to port under her own steam. There were no casualties—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc. FRENCH SUBMARINE SUNK Paris, Sept. 20. An Austrian submarine torpedoed and sunk the French submarine Cince off Cattaro. There was one survivor.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assoc. A STEAMER SUNK. Melbourne, Sept. 30. The Dutch steamer Tasman, who was requisitioned by the British .Government, and was previously trading between Australia and Batavia, was torpedoed in European waters. There are eight missing.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
