iUSTRALIAN THE HAWKESBUBY MEETING, Received Sept. 20, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Sept, 23. The only New Zealand horse placed at the Hawkesbury meeting was Arch Marella, who ran second to Dick Meagher in tho Spring Handicap. Starters in the various events included Hesitation, Bee, and Kilwarlin. The big event, the Hawkcsbury Guineas, was won by Carbern.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable AssooEAXDWIOK TRAINING NQTES. Sydney, Sept. 28. At Randwick the course propert was open this morning. The weather was ■fine and the going good, favoring fast times. Gloaming, with O'Connor up, running alone, covered nine furlongs in 2mm 4isec Finmark and Estland finished together over one mile and aquarter in 2min 13|sec. Biplane, alone, with Deeley in the saddle, ran nine furlongs in 2min 4sec, tho last mile in •Imin 43see. Outlook beat Easteourt in a nine-furlongs' spin. Almoner and Kilmoon finished even over seven furlongs in Imin 32Jsec. Killowen covered ft mile in Imin 46sec. Desert Gold, piloted by (VShea, gave the star performance of the morning. Starting at the ten-furlongs' post, she picked up Itillhopo with a light-weight up, at seven furlongs, which were negotiated in Imin Sl-Jsec, witli Desert Gold comfortably three-quarters of a length ahead. The whole journey took 2min lUsec. St Elmn heat Impediment over a mile in Imin 51 sec. Panacre ran six furlongs in Imin 20sec, Rebus one mile and a-quarter in 2min ICsec. and Oetigno a mile in Imin 47 I ,4sec. Cagou beat Kennaquhair 'by two lengths over a mile in Imin 43sec. i
