London, Sept. 27 The National Liberal Federation overwhelmingly rejected a motion in favor of peace overtures and adopted motions favoring a league of nations. It demanded the abolition of conscription after the war and the establishment of Home Rule without delay. Mr Samuel, in moving a resolution urging the subordination of all other purposes lo the effective prosecution ot the war, denounced a tariff war after the war. Germany must be fought till she abandons militarism and is punished for her crimes, but we would not tight in order to establish commercial monopolies, though Germany must await her turn for raw materia).
