THE PRESIDENT ON PEACE. NO BARGAIN OR COMPROMISE. 'LEAGUE OP NATIONS ESSENTIAL Received Sept. 29, 65 p.m. New York, Sept. 27. President Wilson, in a speech on the fourth Liberty Loan, said: "We are al'. agreed that peace cannot be obtained by any kind of ibargain or compromise' with the Central Empires. The organisation of a League of Nations, in a sense, is the most essential part of the peace settlement. We must be prepared to dispense impartial justice. There cannot bo an individual boycott witlun the league, as power to exclude from the world's markets must be- vested in the league. Germany is constantly intimating the terms she will accept, but slie finds the world does not want terms, but justice and fair dealing."—Aus.rNZ. Cable Assoc.
