BOWLING.

STRATFORD OLHIB. At a meeting held on Friday evening, the president (Mr. W. McDonald) heing in the chair, tho members freely discussed the teams' play for this season, and it was decided to support the No. 2 scheme, section play. It was considered desirable to have four clubs in the central section —Inglewood, Stratford, Eltliam, and ITawera. Play will be permitted on the green next Thursday, and the official opening has been fixed for Thursday. October 17. An invitation was accepted to visit IHawcra Club oil October 9, the date of the official opening. Messrs McPherson, Ward, and W. H. Robinson were elected members.
