STHK INTERNED IKISfIMEN, Melbourne, Sept. 27. The report of the Royal Commission which inquired into the wises of tJie seven interned Irishmen, states that there is no evidence that the men were connected with enemy, persons in the Commonwealth, ,lnit the internees, who are members of the' Irish Republic Brotherhood, had collected money here to assist an armed rebellion in Ireland, the money being expended for the purchase of war material from Germany, with which country the leaders of the movement are in cojnmunication. The Cabinet has decided on the detention of the interned men. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc" , Received Sept. 27, 7.45 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 27. The commission's repoit on the interned Irish says that the leaders' movement in Australia was made use of by the Irish National Association to further their aims, but it was not known that the rank and file of the association had any knowledge of their communications with Germany. Referring to the internee Dryer, the report says his association with Germany was not from any love of Germany, but because any means, in their view, was justifiable to injure Britain, whom they regard as an enemy and oppressor of Ireland. Regarding the internee Dalton, the report expresses a grave suspicion that the prescription for the fire dope was similar to that used by the I.W.W. at Sydney. It was found in Dalton's possession, and was obtained on the chance that it might come in useful to himself or his comrades.—Aug. and N.Z. Cable Assoc; ABOLITION OP UPPER HOUSE. Brisbane, Sept. 27.
