ENTERTAINMENTS.

THE EMPIRE. "BROWN OF HARVARD." The Empire is running another very good programme, which commences today, and is due to continue until Saturday night. The first of the new themes is "Brown of Harvard," a film story that will be very attractive to all young people. Tom Brown is the hero of this clean, healthful story of doings at a great college, and the film has been given by its producers (Selig) just the right atmosphere of school life.' Tom Moore and Hazel Daly are the two costars. Their doings run right through the six parts with a charm that is sincere, and a human touch that is always fascinating. •'Brown of Harvard" is a screen adaptation of the novel by Sida Young. It lends itself with peculiar appropriateness to screen reproduction, and its hero is a clean living, athletic young man, whose idealism and sterling honesty make him worthy of his place in the plot, There is a bright glamour of cleanness about th'o story, which is set in the high mora! tone of a, great college. The romance of the tale is brought out skilfully, and all the film is a clever, delicate materialisation of a very interesting theme. The supporting pictures have all their usual brilliancy, and the musical accompaniments are quite appropriate. i EVERYBODY'S.

TRIPLE ATTRACTION PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT.

There will be quite a host of big attractions at Everybody's to-night when Miriam Cooper, famous for her acting in "Intolerance" and "Birth of a Nation," will star in the Fox feature "Tho Silent Lie," adapted from Larry Evans' novel "Conahan," and little Barbara Connolly will be the centre of attraction in the Triangle feature "Little Red Decides." There will also be the ninth episode of the "Mystery of the Double Cross" and the Gaumont Graphic. "The Silent Lie" is a story set in the fascinating atmosphere of the Canadian North West and has all the keen interest usual with well produced pictures of that class. The Triangle drama "Little Red Decides," is quite a sweet story. It will have a special appeal to all those who are fond of a charming child, and who believe that the power of a child over even the roughest of hearts is almost unlimited. Tho story touches those half-forgotten times when the world was a new toy, and everything was wonderful and all people good. Owing to the. length of the programme the first picture will be screened at 7.45 sharp.
