VICE-PKESIDENT'S NARROW ESCAPE, Washington, Sept. 24. A fire endangered the lives of the Vice-Ive-iiK'iit. (Mr. Marshall) and numbers of M'liaioiv. T.ue fire broke out in a leading hotel. The Vice-President, attired in a bath robe, brought his wife and child down the escape, and other guests escaped in night attire. Several attempted to jump from the windows.
