BUDGET PROPOSALS Received Sep(j. 2tt, 1.40 a.m. Melbourne, Sept 25 Mr. Watt delivered his Budget tonight He estimated the war expenditure for 1(118-10 at" £100.044,411. The total war expenditure out of loan and revenue to thj end of ISIS-10 would be £284 640,608. The war loans totalled £ 235,135,486- Now taxes include 30 per cent- increase in income tax and 20 per cert, increase in land tax, a halfpenny postage tax, an additional entertainment, Customs, excise, and bachelor tax.
