HOCKEY.
AOTEA v. HAWEEA. When the Aotea (Stratford) girls met Hawera a fortnight ago a strenuous game ended in a draw, necessitating a further game to dacide the championship of Tarariaki. On Saturday the Hawera girls met the Aotea club on the Stratford grounds, and after another excellent contest, with many exciting rallies, the whistle sounded cease play with no score being registered. The contest created a good deal of interest and was watched by a fair number of spectators, including several from Hawera. As a result of the two drawn games, the clubs will probably be bracketed champions for 1918.
