Book, has been admitted to toe Codford Hospital, suffering from bronchitis. Private Hook belongs to the 40th Reinforcements. Mr. A. K. Smart, who was recently elected a mender of the- Dominion Bowl' ing Council, learns on Tuesday iot Auckland, to attend the first meeting: of the new council. Corporal N. T. Sinclair, of the 46th] Reinforcements (son of the Eev. W. la!j Sinclair, of New Plymouth), baa fceetf promoted to the rank of sergeant. Amongst tie names mentioned in yes* terdays issue as having been awarded the Military Medal, Is that of H. D, ODonnell, who left with the 16th Biefinforcemenia. He is the eldest son! 'of Mr. CDonnell, Of TongapoTUtu. Cable advice has been received by Mr and Mrs J. R. Lander, Westowa, that their son, Rifleman Prank Lander, who left with the 31st Reinforcements, wad killed in action on September 9th. Mr. A. Baker, of Rahotu, has reeetife3 advice that Sis youngest son, Private S. Baker, has been wounded ia the left arm and leg. It was only recently that! Mr. and Mrs. Baker received wwd tof the death of their eldest son, Rifleman' H. Baker, who was killed at the front'.Two other sons remain at toe front Mrs. S. Adkrn has received advice that her husband, Private S. Adlam, who left with the 33rd Reinforcements, has been wounded in the left foot and admitted to hospital- Private S. Adhun, who Iras' farming at Taiporonui when he enlisted, is well known in the Rahotu and Warea districts. The Kew Plymouth Harbor Board yesterday passed a resolution of regrCT at the death of the late Mr H. J. Okey and sympathy with his relatives. The chairman, in moving the resolution, said in the past Mr Okey had done yeoman service for the board, and he had looked forward in the coming season to being of great assistance in the passing of the board's BilL The following Taranaki names are! given in the latest hospital report:— Seriously ill, A.
